The Korean general election happened today. I voted for an opposition candidate, who has comfortable lead over the President's man. According to exit polls, the ruling Saenuri party will fail to regain a majority, thus the prospects now become dim for settling its pending bills on re-visioning labour policy and adopting the state designated history textbook. Moreover, the President Park Geun-hye will be forced to worry about falling into a lame-duck status. As a moderate Muslim voter, I am really happy with expection that a party of Christian fundamentalism, Christian Liberals, will fail to get an entry into Parliament again. So I am generally satisfied with the results.
